What to Bring

What to expect:  Upon arriving at the barn, you will be instructed briefly on how to ride (if you need instructions, if not, you are good to go).  Pick out a horse and climb on board.  The saddle will be fitted so you are comfortable.  Load your saddle bags with a drink and if you are on a ½ or whole day trip, you will need to pack your sack lunch.  We leave the barn and are off for some great fun.  We ride in rain, snow, or bright sunshine, so come prepared with sunscreen, sunglasses, or rain poncho.

What to wear: Wear comfortable clothing that will tolerate getting wet, muddy, or worse (depending on your custom ride).  Wear closed toed shoes – NO SANDALS as they will fall off.  Be aware that you could step in horse manure if you aren’t careful.  Wear sunglasses secured around your neck with kroakies or string.  Bring a rain poncho or jackets if the weather is threatening or cold.

What to bring:  Bring a drink, snack, or sack lunch depending on your own needs.  Suggestions are chips, fruit, sandwiches, candy, or anything that will fit inside a saddle bag. Sunscreen, bug repellent, hat, sunglasses, and a camera are recommended.  Be sure to have a small bag for your trash as we must keep the Big South Fork clean.

NOTE:  Cell phones do not work in Big South Fork.
Tell your fans that you will be out of contact.
